Following the weekend’s incident which saw Cardi B have a drink thrown at her while performing at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas and subsequently throwing a microphone at the fan on Saturday, the artist has been under investigation for battery.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper retaliated immediately after a concert attendee threw a drink at her on stage. Cardi immediately threw her microphone in the fan’s direction and the woman filed a report to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. To de-escalate the situation, several security guards immediately stepped in, which led to the concertgoer being taken away and Cardi visibly upset.

Now just a little under a week after the incident, Cardi B’s lawyers Drew Findling, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld spoke to TMZ to confirm that the rapper will not be charged, “This afternoon we were notified by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept.,that as a result of their investigation, there will be NO charges against Cardi. On behalf of Cardi, we appreciate the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept’s diligent and prompt resolution of this matter.” It is uncertain if the fan will be charged or not.
