Y-3 Gives the 4D Halo Runner an "Off-White" Honeycomb Shell
Featuring a tonal design stacked atop tech-printed outsoles.
Yohji Yamamoto and adidas‘ Y-3 imprint will continue pushing out new colorways of contemporary footwear silhouettes, debuting the 4D Halo Runner early last year. Since its launch, the tech-forward model has received several in-line colorways, including staple “Core Black/White/Red” and “Core White/Red/Bright Cyan” renditions.
For the partnership’s foray into 2023, the model is given a honeycomb-like exterior coating that allows for a peek into the wearer’s foot. The ultra-functional silhouette lands in an “Off-White” palette and boasts solid taping around the mudguards and perimeter outline for a protective fit. adidas’ Three Stripes branding is mimicked with dangling threads that seep inside the three-dimensional printed midsoles, while a snug sock-like collar delivers additional comfort for all-day wear.
Finally, Y-3 lettering tonally adorns the tongues and traction outsoles, completing the pair with spiked rubber bottoms for outdoor enjoyment.
