Parley for the Oceans and adidas hold an impressive list of collaborative releases under their belt, having launched limitless kicks that utilize ocean waste to create impactful designs. Following the debut of the duo’s Supernova 2.0, Parley and adidas reimagine the latter’s ZX 8000 model in a “Green Oxide” palette.

Once again, the sneaker features recycled plastic uppers that keep a sustainable outlook and uses advanced yarn textiles that contain 50% Parley Ocean Plastic. Taking scrap materials from islands, beaches, and more, the ZX 8000 is fashioned with overwashed green fabrics, which hit the laterals with a dark finish. Tonal Three Stripes branding accompanies the previous, while a lighter hue accents rugged suede overlays across the mudguards, lacing systems, and heel counters. Translucent windows at the rears allow for an inside look at the materials in use, protected by overlapping rubber shields.

Collaborative branding hits the customary tongue tags and lace dubraes, complete with oxidised green rubber sole units.

Take a closer look at the Parley x adidas ZX 8000 “Green Oxide” in the gallery above. The collaboration is available now via adidas and select retailers.

Elsewhere, Midorikawa and Suicoke collide for SS23 Vibram® FiveFingers release.
