Stone Island Delivers Hand-Sprayed Garments for SS23
Knitwear, outerwear, sweatshirts and t-shirts all receive the airbrush treatment.

Stone Island‘s Spring/Summer 2023 collection showcases evolutionary pieces all featuring a texture and color sprayed by hand.
This season, the technical garment staple features Stone Island’s heritage fabric, the Mussola Gommata, which is made by laminating a very very lightweight cotton muslin to a transparent polyurethane film with canvas texture, that is dyed manually by hand spray on the inside. The airbrush effect is then seen on the outside and lends itself to creating a unique and unparalleled three-dimensional effect.
The collection of Hand-Sprayed Mussola Gommata-TC pieces takes on an adventure-focused jacket similar to that of a windbreaker. The hooded, technical garment arrives in a grey and light blue color blocking while another jacket, which is reminiscent of the bike jacket structure, arrives with a standing collar and two snaps fastening. This jacket is dressed in khaki and olive hues, similar to that of an aged leather biker jacket, and also features slanting hand pockets with hidden zip fastening. Both pieces have the Stone Island badge on the left sleeve and tightening snaps at the cuffs.
In addition to outerwear pieces, the collection also consists of a selection of knitwear, sweatshirts, and t-shirts that all feature the hand-sprayed technique for the design. The crewneck receives the airbrush treatment, where the piece is also manually sprayed on the back of the inner side. The dyed garment sees the contrasting tones on the outside. The crewneck also features a ribbed neckline, one chest pocket with a vertical zipper fastening and a Stone Island badge on the left sleeve.
