Following our sit-down with Indonesian artist Alfaz Syam, lifestyle brand Thinking Different has tapped the inventive creative for a collaborative slide collection that emulates his technical practice.

Embracing its love for ’90s technology, Thinking Different brings its old-fashioned monolog to Syam’s sustainable keyboard designs. The rising artist, also known as skatesuckers, is grounded in recycled creations that repurpose discarded electronics into futuristic wearable garments.

Titled the CMFRT KEYS slides, the duo brings their journeys together under one roof to debut a fresh take on summer footwear. Available in cream and grey colorways inspired by Apple‘s M0110 and Platinum keyboards, the shoes present a rubberized take on Syam’s recognizable inventions. In addition, both pairs feature various alphabetical letters and numerals across the straps, while padded footbeds are debossed with Thinking Different’s bunny emblem.

Take an exclusive first look at the collaboration in the gallery above. The CMFRT KEYS slides will drop via the Thinking Different website on March 17.

Elsewhere, New Balance 990v6 gets fitted with a clean “Black/Grey” color scheme.
