Rick Owens‘ sub-label DRKSHDW is widely recognized for its outlandish designs that speak for themselves. From striking Converse collaborations to eccentric footwear releases that double as artwork, the Dark Lord is back again with another eye-catching invention. This time around, Rick Owens’ Spring/Summer 2023 delivery debuts a utilitarian rendition of its staple Cargo sneaker.

Aiming to replace your bottom half, the Cargo Fetish boots combine pant legs with footwear to create a blended offering that garners a second look. The leg portion is crafted from recycled nylon and certified organic cotton, featuring a thigh-high boot outline that boasts asymmetrical panels that extend to the ground. Velcro cargo pockets decorate the exterior-facing calves for additional storage while on the go, connected to a hidden sneaker beneath.

Sturdy rubber toe caps peek through the fabric in a contrasting “Milk” hue, revealing a black leather shoe with white midsoles and shark tooth-like outsoles.

Take a closer look at the Rick Owens DRKSHDW Cargo Fetish boots in the gallery above. The offering is available now via Rick Owens for $980 USD.

In case you missed it, take an on-foot look at the Billie Eilish x Nike Air Alpha Force 88.
