Hyein Seo Pairs Earth Tones With Technical Elements for FW23

An expansive series from the eminent South Korean label.

HYEIN SEO, the eponymous South Korean label launched in 2014, has released its FW23 lookbook showcasing both its womenswear and menswear. While continuing to offer technical details in innovative cuts and bold porportions, this season opts for a warm and earthy color palette.

As if envisioning an alternative timeline in the future in which somewhere along the line, the world hit the reset button, the collection appears equally advanced and primitive. Through pairing deliberately rough textures, assymetric lines, oversized forms and distressed details with clever panelling and form-fitting fabrics, the pieces are made to feel innovative yet innate. Materials range from stretchy lycra for athletic tops and washed cotton blend for field jackets to braided rope and wooden beads for lace shoulder bags and tasseled headband accessories. Bottoms are for the most part loose and flowy with assymetric zipper and pocket details while carrying options arrive in both rustic one-piece fabric finishes as well as ripstop nylon.

Take a full look at Hyein Seo’s Fall/Winter 2023 lookbook above and stay tuned for release updates. You can also browse through Grailed to shop more Hyein Seo pieces.
