The New OMEGA x Swatch Gold MoonSwatch Is Here
And it’s only available for purchase today, March 7.
Following the success of last year’s seismic OMEGA x Swatch MoonSwatch collaboration, the duo has returned with a new model to satisfy watch heads’ cravings. Teasing the launch over the weekend on Instagram, with a picture of a golden moon and the caption “Mission to Moonshine Gold,” Swatch and OMEGA have now officially unveiled their all-new timepiece.
This go-around, the “Mission to Moonshine Gold” watch features a seconds hand composed of OMEGA’s Moonshine Gold, which is a form of 18k yellow gold alloy that appears on several of the brand’s most popular designs. Notably, each hand was crafted under a full moon in February — and there’s a certificate to prove it.
This time-teller prioritizes the Swiss brands’ DNA, as the device most closely resembles its parent watch, OMEGA’s Speedmaster Moonwatch, when compared to the previous 11 models in the collaboration. To clarify, the “Mission to Moonshine Gold” version lands as an independent model in the collection, not as the 12th watch in the series.
Much like older models, this latest MoonSwatch cannot be purchased online. The “Mission to Moonshine Gold” will only be available for purchase today, March 7, 2023, in London, Milan, Tokyo and Zurich for £250 EUR. Each of the aforementioned cities was selected for its affiliations with gold.
