Oakley Taps Kylian Mbappé for Football-Infused "Signature Series" Eyewear
The collection includes four frames with custom embellishments.
French footballer Kylian Mbappé has joined forces with high-end lifestyle label Oakley for a “Signature Series” collection of eyewear. As a Team Oakley athlete, the Paris Saint-Germain forward presents a collaborative range that blurs the line between fashion and lifestyle performance.
The collection includes four models that appear across a sophisticated color palette of brown and gold. Among them, the HSTN sun style arrives with a two-tone BiO-Matter™ frame with Prizm™ Bronze Tungsten Iridium lenses, which possess color-enhancing capabilities, and the HSTN Rx contains sleek Polished Clear frames with Oakley Authentic Prescription lenses and a decorative metal plate embossed with Mbappé’s initials.
Meanwhile, the Frogskins XS and XXS are built for children, with smaller frames; the sun styles implement similar Prizm™ Tungsten Iridium lenses inside a Light Curry lower frame, and the optical model features a classic Polished Clear frame with clear lenses.
“To me, being a football player means understanding the importance of paying attention to every detail,” said Mbappé. “I brought this same mentality into creating my new signature collection with Oakley. Bold and vivid colors reflect my personality, whilst having aesthetic and versatile designs. The same way I have my own philosophy of play, each eyewear has its own style.”
