Nike Adds Camouflage to the Air Rift
The split-toe sneaker is returning for 2023.
It’s no secret that slip-on silhouettes have been a major player throughout this decade. Capitalizing on this, Nike has continued to offer new approaches to the style while also reissuing some of its most-adored silhouettes from its archive. As we look ahead to warmer weather this year, everything from the ACG Air Moc to the upcoming Air Max 1 Slide is being prepared. Adding to this, the 27-year-old Air Rift looks to be making a return.
Historically, the model has come and gone, with the Swoosh celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2016 by illustrating its history as a popular model in Japan. Now, it has been outfitted in a camouflage look that blends brown, green and black hues from head to toe. Its split-toe design sees a light brown base joined by an earthy camo across its upper. An orange embroidered Swoosh rests at the toe while the straps favor all-black, matching the shoe’s edges. To complete the look, a “Sail” midsole backed by Air is joined by a gum rubber outsole.
If the Nike Air Rift is your slip-on shoe of choice this year, stay tuned as Nike is expected to reveal additional colorways and launch this camouflage pair later in the year.
