Nike makes it a point to stay tapped into sneaker culture and its ever-evolving trends so that it can provide consumers with the most functional and relevant products. And with silhouettes that are sport easy-on-easy-off access continuing to surge in popularity the Beaverton-based sportswear giant thought that it’d be the best time to reintroduce an offering from its early 2000s archives: the Nike ACG Watercat+.
Originally launched in 2006, the Watercat+ was positioned as a silhouette that you could wear in the water. Its full woven upper provides wearers with ample breathability, and it has been modernized with a tighter knit build and supportive leather overlays to hold its shape. Additionally, a new rubber heel counter has been situated on the heels and this comes branded with an ACG hit. Slated to release this Spring/Summer is an all-new “Phantom/Light Orewood Brown” colorway which comes fashioned with a set of brighter neutral uppers that are fit for a paradise vacation. ACG branding lands on the lateral heels of the midsole pieces while the treading is done up with a two-toned arrangement.
Official images of the pair can be seen in the gallery above, and you can expect Nike and other retailers to release these in the coming months for $125 USD.
