Gucci Vault has hosted Palace, LUAR, Dickies, and Bleue Burnham, and while it does often drop a number of exclusive pieces from its own archive, the release is so limited in quantity that it’s often gone in the blink of an eye. However, today Gucci released its latest selection of Vault finds under the titled “Made-to-Treasure,” offering collector’s items that have been either customized or reconditioned to be of or even better than their former glory.

House archivists hand-select each piece before handing them over to Gucci’s artisans, who “ensure they are ready for their next chapter.” An example of this is the vintage coat from Fall/Winter 1975-1976, which sees the classic number updated and turned into a contemporary black suede biker jacket sporting studs and crystal chain fringing all over.

Elsewhere, Tom Ford-era Fall/Winter 2001-2002 black wool and leather pants are up for grabs for $5,000 USD. They’ve since been given a comprehensive all-over crystal appliqué finish, again updating the pair to modern-day Gucci tastes per its ex-Creative Director Alessandro Michele.

As for accessories, we find an array of iconic bags like the Jackie, Bamboo, and Blondie, as well as lesser-known shoulder bag styles and classic top handle iterations that have all been reworked by hand. Of particular interest is the price-on-request Bamboo from the 1960s, which has been given a deep orange bamboo handle and new crystal appliqués all over the original blue leather body. Similarly, a Jackie from Tom Ford’s Fall/Winter 2000-2001 collection comes in its original black satin body but now also sports crystals, as well as a python print shoulder strap and a fluffy yellow moire lining.

For reconditioned examples, Gucci Vault presents vintage silk ties and pocket squares, as well as lifestyle oddities like a vintage fox-shaped bottle opener, a set of seat markers from the 1980s, a decorative duck bottle cap from the 1970s, and an ice bucket also from the ’70s.
