New Balance Dresses the 878 in "Castlerock"
Available now via HBX.
When it comes to footwear, New Balance has placed its emphasis on the finer details. Often opting to use calm colorways that bring out the intricate paneling of its sneakers, the American sportswear brand has built a reputation for clean, timeless kicks. Though it’s been adventurous in some of its recent releases, with the 878 “Castlerock,” the brand goes back to its roots.
In its latest release of the under-the-radar model, the 878 bears a tasteful gray and off-white ensemble. Its mixed material upper toggles between suede and mesh details as its titular shade of gray covers all but the white outline of the “N” logos. Its various overlays team up and offer a sleek texture with additional New Balance branding elements arriving at the heel and tongue. White also makes an appearance at the laces while an off-white shade hits the EVA foam and ABZORB cushioned midsole, resting atop a black rubber outsole.
Looking to grab a pair? HBX has you covered with the New Balance 878 “Castlerock” available now at a price of $105 USD.
