LeBron James is on the cusp of accomplishing greatness once again.

Next Tuesday, James and the Los Angeles Lakers face off against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Crypto.com Arena. With only 63 points away, fans are speculating that James will break the all-time scoring record in that game. The current all-time NBA scoring record is held by legend, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

James currently holds a 33 points-per-game average over his last 14 games, therefore setting the OKC game up for a record-breaking moment. While this is a career-defining moment for James, many fans also understand the significance of James’ record in basketball history. With that in mind, tickets for the game are selling for high numbers, going as much as $92,000 USD per ticket. Bleacher Report reported the news, indicating that people are truly willing to pay the price to witness a moment in history. In a recent post-game interview, James admitted that he never thought that he could catch up to Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record.

If one thing is certain, James’ longevity in the sport is most definitely second to none.

In other sports news, LeBron James recently revealed future NBA plans to continue to play for “at least a few more years.”
