Metalwood Studio and FootJoy Unite for a Snakeskin Leather Golf Shoe
Arriving just in time for the PGA TOUR’s West Coast Swing.
Although golf footwear headlines have primarily been dominated by Nike and Jordan in the opening stages of 2023, FootJoy is now ready to introduce the first of its limited-edition Energy releases. Starting with a bang, the iconic golf brand is teaming up with the LA-based Metalwood Studio for a western flavored release, arriving just in time for the PGA TOUR’s West Coast Swing.
A brand new silhouette that joins the Premiere Series Tarlow and Packard, the genuine leather Wilcox displays similar perforations that are characteristic of a classic brogue. Textured, black and white vegan “snakeskin” interchanges with smooth white leather throughout the upper. The former covers the saddle portion of the shoe, while the latter makes up the vamp, toecap and heel counters. Other details include a metallic FJ logo, terry brown leather welt, co-branded insoles and a toothy VersaTrax+ outsole.
As a high performance shoe designed to be worn on tour, the Wilcox always displays functional features such as a 100% waterproof seal and a cushioned OrthoLite footbed.
