New Balance 990v3 “GR3YSCALE" Is Dropping as a DTLR-Exclusive
Slated to launch in full family sizes.
One release tactic that New Balance executes to make their sneakers more special is that it drops them as retailer exclusives. Recently, we saw size? announce its 1906R “Green/Black” colorway, and now we’re learning that footwear chain DTRL is set to receive its own special makeup to close out the month of February: the New Balance 990v3 “GR3YSCALE.”
This new initiative pays homage to the silhouette that has had a profound impact on sneaker culture, and more specifically as it pertains to the fashion trends of the DMV. When cooking up this iteration, DTLR had intentions of saluting the New Balance signature grey color scheme but flipping it with its own twist. The versatile pair comes prepared with supple suede black overlays that land on the quarters, black leather tongues for an elevated look and feel and mesh underlays that are dyed in NB’s traditional grey hue. Down below, the midsole piece houses the usual ENCAP cushioning and splits its palette between white and black panels to round off its greyscale motif.
