Jimmy Gorecki's JSP and Vault by Vans Connect for "I Love My JSP Vans" Collection
The duo’s third footwear installment.
Coming together for the third time following the release of Vans Chukkas in 2021 telling the story of Philadelphia’s famed Love Park, Jimmy Gorecki‘s JSP reunites with Vault by Vans for a “I Love My JSP” three-shoe collection paying homage to his East Coast roots.
The upcoming series consists of Vault by Vans’ Old Skool VLT LX in “Kelly Green” and “Black” as well as the Sk8-Hi VLT LX in “True Blue.” Each pair features supple pig suede uppers and contrasting nylon quarter panels with contrast stitching accents. Vans’ sidestripes are updated with a reflective underlay for night shots and each sidewalls of the midsoles are adorned with “I Love My JSP Vans” graphics, a sentiment that Gorecki has heard consistently since his first Vans collab. Rounding out the design are icy-blue translucent toe bumpers and bottoms.
“For this latest partnership with Vault by Vans, our goal is to reflect feelings of familiarity and take new materials and design details like the reflective elements, a nostalgic nylon, super soft suede and continue to evolve the classic styles we grew up shredding in to make a design that reads both rich and rugged and with a whole lot of love that you’ll feel all the way to your sole”, said Jimmy Gorecki.
To celebrate the new collection Gorecki shoots a playful campaign video in Venice Beach, California at Great Western Hoagies which pokes fun at his Philly roots. Gorecki also enlists New york skate film legend RB Umali to capture the new collaborative Vans in action as worn by Vans’ Dick Rizzo alongside Mark Del Negro and Paris Summerfield.
The Vault by Vans x JSP “I Love My JSP” collection officially launches on February 15 at 10 a.m. PST (1 p.m. ET) on the Standard Issue Tees website. Take a look at the two campaign films below.
