New York-based label 18 East continues its collaborative conquest by reaching from coast to coast to connect with Portland’s Earth\Studies. Throughout the capsule, Earth\Studies’ affinity for nature weaves seamlessly with 18 East’s thoughtful design approach. Aptly referred to as East_Studies, the duo begins its journey with the concept of a sole explorer roaming to and from man-made and natural environments. Crafting six pieces that draw from each brand’s core identity, workwear and outdoor aesthetics mingle harmoniously.

Leading the range, a MS-104 Field Jacket in “Willow” features the precise handiwork of Jaipuri artisans as hand-stitched embroidery runs all over. This delicate craftmanship similarly arrives on the matching “Willow” MP-103 Field Pant. As for the pant’s “Birch” counterpart, an undyed corduroy and handwoven jacquard construction that leverages Earth\Studies’ signature paneling offers a canvas that welcomes evolution with wear. Its pairing Doe Bay Shacket in “Birch” borrows the material composition with a matching asymmetrical pocket structure. “Birch” also finds itself neatly covering the Orcas Fleece, combining an undyed organic cotton shearling with special detailing such as its handwoven cotton jacquard foraging pocket. Lastly, the Cinch-Back Camp Hat rounds out the collection by featuring all of the handwoven textiles from the capsule in a patchwork design.

Release for the collection is scheduled to take place on February 20 via 18 East and Earth\Studies. Prices begin at $45 USD for the Cinch-Back Camp Hat and go up to $270 USD for the MS-104 Field Jacket.

In other fashion news, Maison Margiela and Gentle Monster have revealed their 11-piece eyewear collaboration, launching at the end of the month.
