ASICS Serves Up the GT-2160 In New "Cream/Pure Silver" Colorway
The revitalized retro runner is rounding 2023 off on a high note.
ASICS has had a banner year with the GT-2160, a stability-focused running shoe initially released in 2011 and brought back as a retrofuturistic lifestyle option earlier in 2023. Though the GT-2160 has already lived many lives during its second go-around on the market — highlights include but are not limited to serving as the centerpiece of a lifestyle-focused partnership with NFL All-Pro wide receiver Stefon Diggs and collaborative partners ranging from Cecilie Bahnsen to Above the Clouds — at its very core are clean in-line colorways. And those clean in-line colorways are adding another member to their ranks before the year is out with the release of a new “Cream/Pure Silver” makeup.
Boasting a crisp, ever-so-slightly off-white “Cream” mesh base that’s adorned with metallic “Pure Silver” accents, the makeup offers a classically technical look thanks to its undulating forefoot sculpting, segmented midsole and heel GEL cushioning pads with a hint of New Orleans Saints vibes completed by its black and gold embellishments. Thanks to its mixture of mechanical and earthy tones, it fits comfortably into the in-line GT-2160 lineup besides other colorways like “Oyster Grey” and “Dark Taupe.”
