Nothing says fall in the Northeast quite like a duck boot. Just imagine it’s late November and the lobster boats are making their final trips of the season. It’s inevitably raining, but that’s no issue, because you have a pair of these new Malbon x Sperry low top wellies on your feet.

First off, let’s talk about Malbon, which is ostensibly a golf brand. On one hand, the brand is making a push for greater visibility with traditional golf fans through partnerships with pro golfers. But on the other, its western-inspired FW23 collection, where the pieces intended for playing golf were few and far between, suggests a desire to do away with its “golf brand” label. For Sperry meanwhile, the collaboration with Malbon can be contextualized alongside others with Pleasures and CONCEPTS.

For this release we get two boots, one for men and one for women. The men’s boot is based on Sperry’s Cold Bay 3-Eye model, which is a low profile boot with a fleece lining. There are three primary materials in play, a white leather with croc detailing, a yellow rubber duck shell and a rust mudguard and non-marking outsole.

The midsole and outsole mold of the women’s Salt Water 1-Eye is a bit more conventional. It has the same white leather upper as the Cold Bay with an embossed Malbon “M,” but its rubber shell is matching instead of the contrasting yellow. Both pairs are finished with co-branded plaid insoles and tongue labels.

Should either of these pique your interest, you can find them on Malbon and Sperry’s websites priced at $90 USD (women’s) and $110 USD (men’s).

Elsewhere, TIGHTBOOTH announced a launch party for its Nike SB Dunk Low.
