Mater Comes to Life on the Pixar x Crocs Classic Clog
Joining his pal Lightning McQueen in receiving his own Crocs collaboration.
Crocs has established itself as one of footwear’s most creative collaborators — introducing all sorts of wild creations from the MSCHF x Crocs Big Yellow Boots to the ogre-inspired Shrek x Crocs Classic Clog. However, looking back at its history, a release that stands out as a pioneer in the space is the Pixar x Crocs Classic Clog “Lightning McQueen.” Immortalizing the beloved Cars character, the shoe has been restocked several times and now has a partner — the “Mater” version of the Crocs Classic Clog.
Celebrating the always-smiling tow truck of Radiator Springs, Mater has been recreated with special detailing from the toe to the heel. Its upper sees his signature eye-adorned windshield joined by a flexible TPU engine at the toe. The midsole features graphics that reference his appearance while the strap hosts a tow hook. Rounding things out, his smile appears at the toe while a black outsole completes the playful presentation.
For those looking to “git-r-done,” the Pixar x Crocs Classic Clog “Mater” is available now via Crocs at a price of $60 USD. However, due to high demand the release has limited availability with restocks expected to go down in the near future.
