Studio Nicholson Drops Colorful Winter 2023 Module

Studio Nicholson designer Nick Wakeman, who studied Textile Design at the Chelsea School of Art in London, is known for her innovative usage of rich textiles. Pulling mood boards based on Japanese culture, architecture and interiors, the brand’s creative director keeps structure and refinement at the fore of her design codes. Now, in its newly-debuted Winter 2023 module, Studio Nicholson looks to inject its modular wardrobe with a bevy of “inter-seasonal additions.”

Among the collection’s standouts, the Noe Knit, which is available in both “Moss” and “Darkest Navy” tones, employs a sleek, lightweight Italian lambswool to form a soft collar and a three-button placket, while the Alva Knit, made in “Moss,” “Darkest Navy” and “Tennis Green,” recruits fine Italian wool to produce a loose, slouchy silhouette with a high neckline. Outside of knits, the View Shirt, coming in “Icicle” and “Officer Stripe,” subtly revises the traditional button-down with a boxy fit that teeters into oversizing.

Rounding out the range, two trousers offer insulation for the colder months: the Caro Pant and the Mappe Corduroy Pant. The former silhouette, finished in “Darkest Navy,” builds on the brand’s time-tested design pillars for the military snow pant, while the latter bottoms, available in “Lichen” and “Black,” feature a straight-cut leg and a mid-rise waist for sophistication.
