A24's War-Focused Drama 'The Zone of Interest' Receives Chilling Trailer
The German film follows SS officer Rudolf Höss and his family living near a Nazi concentration camp.
A24 has revealed its latest project, placing its war-focused German drama The Zone of Interest under the spotlight. Shot by English director Jonathan Glazer in Poland, the film is based on Martin Amis’ 2014 book about World War II and stars local actors Sandra Hüller, Christian Friedel, and Ralph Herforth.
The Zone of Interest‘s chilling first trailer has arrived, telling an intimate story about families in war. It follows German SS officer Rudolf Höss and his wife Hedwig, who live near Nazi concentration camp: Auschwitz. They raise their children in war-induced environments while disregarding the death around them.
The Zone of Interest debuted at Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, earning the prestigious Grand Prix award. The minute-long trailer promotes an unsettling nature, seeing families avoid reality while men are at war.
