Frederique Constant Reveals the Classic Tourbillon Meteorite Manufacture
The watchmaker’s most exclusive creation to date, limited to 35 examples.

In celebration of its 35th anniversary, Swiss watchmaker Frederique Constant has introduced the Classic Tourbillon Meteorite Manufacture, the maison’s most exclusive timepiece yet, limited to 35 pieces — additionally, the watch commemorates the 15th anniversary of Frederique Constant’s iconic Tourbillon calibre.
The Classic Tourbillon Meteorite Manufacture is encased in platinum and boasts a meteorite dial, making it one of the few tourbillons with such features in the market. Every piece is meticulously hand-finished by two dedicated watchmakers, specifically chosen to showcase the pinnacle of craftsmanship that the brand has achieved over the years.
Behind the design is the movement of the watch, which is a testament to exceptional hand-finishing, a first for Frederique Constant. This watch reveals the Manufacture tourbillon at 6 o’clock, a creation of Frederique Constant from 2008, linking the piece to its heritage.
Notably, the meteorite dial is not just a clever name but instead quite literally holds a fragment of space, originating from Gibeon, Namibia. Cutting a perfectly flat disc from such a precious material demanded a high level of dexterity, showcasing a confluence of superior craftsmanship and natural rarity.
While the watch is technically releasing as a limited edition of 35, each example varies slightly from one to the next, due to the natural variances in the meteorite dials. Other design aspects include the finishing of the dial and movement with ruthenium, to ensure a harmonious visual appeal — while the engravings, which are rhodium-plated, stand out clearly against the backdrop.
The Classic Tourbillon Meteorite Manufacture, with its 39mm platinum case is designed to celebrate Frederique Constant’s illustrious history yet also paves the way for future innovation and will be available soon, likely via inquiry only through the watchmaker’s official site.
