A Reprint of UNIQLO UT's 'Metal Gear'-Themed Tees Is Coming
Revisiting designs from 2009 and 2012 this holiday season.

Hideo Kojima is credited for many breakthroughs in the gaming industry, with his work on the groundbreaking stealth action franchise Metal Gear as one of his most celebrated projects. Commemorating the franchise, UNIQLO UT assembled graphic tee ranges in both 2009 and 2012.
Now, with the release of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Volume 1, UNIQLO UT is reprinting six Metal Gear-themed tees. Each creation draws from the franchise’s history with familiar motifs included throughout. A Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance tee sees a portrait graphic adorn the front of a black tee while a throwback tee to the original game similarly appears in black. A Metal Gear Solid 2 tee in blue with a graphic of Solid Snake and Raiden on the front also joins the range. From there, the franchise’s iconic cardboard box makes an appearance on a white tee. Lastly, two tees see all-over graphics at their back.
For those interested in picking up a tee, the Metal Gear x UNIQLO UT reprint capsule does not have a firm global release date just yet. However, UNIQLO’s website for its operations in Singapore lists December 25 as the initial launch date.
