Humberto Leon's Timberland Future73 Collection Puts Classics On Steroids
The Opening Ceremony co-founder debuts an exaggerated 6-Inch Boot and insulating All-Gender 6-Inch Puff Shoe.
Timberland‘s Future73 initiative has enlisted six international creatives to reinvent its classic silhouettes. CLOT‘s Edison Chen, A-COLD-WALL* designer Samuel Ross, Suzanne Oude Hengel, and Nina Chanel Abney have revealed their designs throughout the year, with American designer Humberto Leon up next.
Leon co-founded Opening Ceremony in 2002, making a name for himself in international retail. He has walked hand-in-hand with Timberland for decades, debuting a protective 6-Inch Boot. The high-top model is given an exaggerated treatment, inspired by functional footwear to last a lifetime.
Leon delivers an outdoor-ready thick-cut rubber boot, featuring recycled uppers, grip-enhancing dramatic soles, and dual-branded pouch tags. The duo also debut a new All-Gender 6-Inch Puff Shoe with wavy perimeters in insulating ripstop textiles.
Leon completes his Future73 collection with seven coordinating garments, including a 5-in-1 Jacket, zip-off pants, quilted rugby-inspired sets, sweatshirts, and tees in black and brown tones.
