Welcome to the year 2000. Your parents are finally getting over that terrible hangover from their New Year’s Eve party. Destiny’s Child and NSYNC are dominating the radio and Bill Belichick was just named head coach of the Patriots. The United States also won a gold medal in basketball at the Olympics that year, and Ray Allen is draining threes in one of the cleanest colorways of the Air Jordan 6 that anyone has seen.

Now almost 24 years since USA won gold in Sydney, the AJ6 “Olympic” is set to make its debut on the golf course. Having been retro-fied last in 2012, this time the patriotic colorway made famous by the now avid linksman Allen is touching down on the low top 6 complete with white, navy and red accents. In comparing these to the original, the main evolution takes place via the reengineered outsole for golf and the midsole which is treated to navy and white colorblocking. Much of the branding remains the same, with Jumpman logos appearing on the tongues, lace toggles and heels, while a Jordan Golf logo breaks the mold on the insoles.

No official launch date has come to light yet, but expect the pair to arrive before the end of 2023 for $220 USD.
