Comme Des Garçons Opens New Store in Paris
With lines previously available exclusively in Japan.
Rei Kawakubo’s famed label Comme des Garçons is expanding its portfolio with its new store in Paris.
Spanning four stories, the new retail location was designed by Kawakubo and her Comme des Garçons team. The location comprises 800 square meters and is located at 56 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Complimenting the brand’s eye-catching and inquisitively unique fashion, the store’s design sets forth curved pine modular shelving, floor-to-ceiling white cylindrical shelving, and bold red lacquered walls.
From a product standpoint, the store offers a wide extent of the Comme des Garçons portfolio, which includes the Homme Plus, Shirt, Girl and Parfum lines for example. But a highlight of the clothing’s offerings is the inclusion of Comme des Garçons lines that were previously only available in Japan. Additionally, the store is set to house garments from Junya Watanabe and Noir Kei Ninomiya.
Aside from clothing, the location is also set to carry the brand’s furniture line featuring metal chairs and more. What makes this moment special is it marks the line’s first reissue in about 30 years.
