U.K. Retailer Offspring Debuts Its Collaborative adidas Orketro "London Nights"
Inspired by the British capital at nightfall.
British retailer Offspring has officially announced its first-ever collaboration with adidas Consortium, presenting a London-inspired take on the imprint’s lifestyle Orketro silhouette. The Consortium division looks to highlight brands and retailers making a difference in their local communities through a cultural lens.
Offspring reimagines the chunky adidas Orketro by looking to its local city at nightfall, pulling tones from London’s structural landscape dominated by historic stone buildings and contemporary skyscrapers.
The sneaker arrives in diverse shades of grey, enhancing the technical mesh uppers and linear suede accents that run across the medial panels and bold Three Stripes branding on the toe boxes. Delicate “Mint Green” touches land on the Consortium-branded lace dubraes and cushioned adiPRENE sole units that glow in the dark much like the restless city. London’s River Thames is outlined across the sneaker, while Offspring pays tribute to classic adidas models by hiding its Trefoil emblem beneath the tongues for a concealed surprise.
Finally, standard midsole plaques boast a holographic finish that flips between adiPRENE and Offspring lettering when in motion, while co-branded insoles complete the offering.
The Offspring x adidas Consortium Orketro “London Nights” will drop in-store and online via Offspring on January 28.
In other footwear news, the Air Jordan 11 “DMP” is rumored to return later this year.
