HBO Announces 'The Last of Us Podcast' With Troy Baker, Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann
Premiering alongside the series adaptation.
HBO has announced an official companion podcast to its highly-anticipated series, The Last of Us.
Premiering in tandem with the show, The Last of Us Podcast will see host Troy Baker — the voice and motion capture actor of Joel in the video games — sit down with series creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, the latter of whom also wrote and directed the games. The podcast will have a total of nine episodes and will hear the three do a scene-by-scene deep dive of each episode, along with discussions about “their personal relationships to the iconic game, their experience in adapting it for television, and behind-the-scenes stories.”
The Last of Us series adaptation will star Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie. Gabriel Luna, Anna Torv and Merle Dandridge also join the cast as recurring stars, alongside the likes of Nick Offerman, Storm Reid, Baker and Ashley Johnson — the voice and motion capture actor of Ellie in the video games — as guests.
The Last of Us Podcast and The Last of Us series both premiere January 15.
Elsewhere in entertainment, Paul Mescal is reportedly in negotiations to star in Ridley Scott’s Gladiator sequel.
