Audemars Piguet Drops New Royal Oak Tourbillon RD#3 With Purple Dial
The ultra-thin model gets treated in “plum.”

In line with Audemars Piguet‘s 50th anniversary celebrations of the Royal Oak, the luxury Swiss watch has introduced the new Royal Oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Extra-Thin RD#3, this time with a metallic purple dial in a 37mm steel casing.
The stainless steel watch was first introduced for the 39mm blue dial 26670 back in April, now the new model, 26660ST shows off a unique “plum” dial. The watch features the same 8.1mm thickness as the 39mm RD#3. This new 37mm is also water resistant up to 50 meters. The ultra-thin 3.4mm automatic caliber 2968 ticks at 3 hertz and also features a 50-hour power reserve that can be seen in the visible titanium flying tourbillon. On the back, the watch is finished with a clear display case back, that gives wearers a chance to take a look at the 50th-anniversary rotor design. The minimal AP branding is seen on the clasp as well as on the crown.
While the timepiece is not a limited edition and is slated to retail for $165,400 USD, there will likely be a limited quantity in celebration of 50 years of the Royal Oak. Take a look above and check out Audemars Piguet for more information.
