Another Wear-Away Upper Lands on the Air Jordan 1 Low
Subtle “Wings” vibes with the black and gold.

Ever since Jordan Brand connected with Lance Mountain and the Nike SB team on the Air Jordan 1, wear-away uppers have become increasingly popular. Recently, this has included several new Air Jordan 1 colorways landing on the low-top and mid versions of the historic sneaker. Now, yet another wear-away Air Jordan 1 Low has surfaced, this time featuring black and gold overlays that arrive in a similar fashion to 2017’s Air Jordan 1 “Wings.”
For this wear-away look, the Air Jordan 1 Low appears in its typical construction, bearing familiar materials and shape. A white leather base outfits a significant portion of the upper while black leather Swooshes combine with the wear-away black and gold leather overlays that give the colorway its signature detailing. The black nylon tongue presents a golden Jumpman logo next to the lining which favors a multicolored bleach finish. Lastly, the heel’s Wings logo favors black embroidery while a “Sail” midsole rests atop a black rubber outsole to complete the look.
Release for this wear-away Air Jordan 1 Low colorway is expected to take place in the coming months via Nike and select retailers.
Elsewhere in the world of footwear, Jayson Tatum is continuing his Jordan Brand partnership with the release of his own Jordan Nu Retro 1 colorway, featuring detailing that nods to his childhood.
