Jayson Tatum Is Getting His Own Jordan Nu Retro 1 Colorway
The lifestyle kicks call out the Celtics baller’s hometown and birth year.

Jordan Brand‘s basketball roster is replete with elite talent, and one star that’s leading the way for the imprint is Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum. A signature sneaker for the All-Star small forward is rumored to be coming in 2023, but before those get announced, MJ’s company is crafting a special Jordan Nu Retro 1 colorway for him.
The kicks are designed with a blend of neutral tones and bold accents. The base layer’s backdrop comes fitted in white while the leather overlays on the lateral sides, medial walls and heels are dialed to a creamy hue. Jordan Brand’s signature ball-and-wings logo is split up on the lateral sides while a “98” hit adorns the heels, the latter being a nod to Tatum’s birth year. Skewed towards the outer side of the front are “U. City” embellishments which is short for University City, MO — his hometown. Additionally, his PE logo is stamped to the throat and bold red bursts show up on the toe boxes and tongues.
Peep a closer look at the pair in the gallery above and note that these are likely releasing in the coming months.
