Having signed a multi-year deal with 2K Games last March, it only makes sense that Tiger Woods has been chosen to stunt on the cover for the second edition of 2K’s reimagined golf series. This will be the first time that Tiger has featured in a video game since Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14.

A quick teaser video posted on Monday from the official PGA Tour 2K Twitter account depicted a golfer from the waist down wearing what looked to be the Air Jordan 4 Retro “Pure Money,” which seems like an appropriate choice for draining putts. While the teaser led some to believe that the game will be released next Monday, 2K clarified that this is the date to expect more details on the upcoming game.

Woods’s inclusion alone should satisfy gamers, given that a past criticism of the franchise was a lack of real life golfers. For now, we know that the game will once again feature the popular course designer feature, as well as licensed courses like East Lake Golf Club, TPC Sawgrass, TPC Scottsdale and more. Also new for 2K23 will be a TopGolf feature that invites players to hit the range online with friends, as well as a “Michael Jordan bonus pack” exclusive to buyers of the deluxe edition. Stay tuned for more details as they come out.
