Lyle & Scott is a Scottish brand with a deeply woven heritage in golf. While the brand has been around since 1874, the turn of the century saw a revamp and modernization of its aesthetic and creative direction.
The new High Summer collection honors the brand’s past with both refined knitwear and performance gear adapted for the country’s variable climate. Items such as the Aviemore Slim Fit Polo ($66 USD) and the Technical Polo ($60 USD) are designed with moisture wicking and temperature regulation in mind, making them well suited for the record heat across the UK this past summer.
Meanwhile, the Contour Jumper ($109 USD), with a pattern inspired by golf course topography maps, and the Gregor Cardigan ($115 USD), have great layering potential for those days when the sun is coming in and out. Then you have all-weather gear like the Golf Gilet ($109 USD) and the Windbreaker Fleece Jacket ($133 USD) that will have you prepared for Scotland’s notorious rain squalls that seemingly come from nowhere.
Lyle & Scott’s signature yellow Scottish eagle logo is seen on a majority of the items from this collection, while a larger and more contemporary golfer motif is stitched on to select items as well.
