STAPLE Drops Capsule With Emerging Brand New York Old Friends
Inspired by the idea of giving people their flowers.
With Jeff Staple, New York continues to reign as the epicenter of expanded creativity. The designer’s clothing imprint STAPLE has now linked with Tori Simokov’s emerging brand New York Old Friends for a capsule collection.
Imbued with flower graphics, the collaboration is inspired by the idea of giving people their flowers while they are alive. Bringing this concept to fruition is a line-style handshake with a flower graphic to symbolize feelings of not only love and appreciation, but the strength in creative collaboration. Consisting of 20 pieces, the offering features fleece hoodies, sweatpants sets, short and long-sleeve pocket t-shirts and more – appearing in shades of clay, navy, light blue, cream and gray.
A highlight of the collection is a cream-colored varsity jacket with custom New York Old Friends patches and embroidered details. Other key details throughout the collection are roses and pigeons, which nod to the New York State flower and Jeff Staple’s signature graphic logo. Finishing off the capsule are embroidered knit beanies and a gold-rimmed ceramic dish.
