J Balvin Confirms Release Date for His Air Jordan 2 Collaboration
Glowing lights are emblematic of finding light through dark times.
Storytelling is a significant part of J Balvin‘s creative initiatives. Whether it involves him making chart-topping Reggaeton tunes or crafting collaborative products with Jordan Brand, the Colombian icon makes it a point to put his values and culture at the forefront of everything he does. This year, his product line with the Jumpman team is expanding with a new Air Jordan 2 collaboration that possesses a heartfelt message.
Balvin doesn’t hold back with the design details here. Blue skies and angelic cloud patterns are dropped off on the mudguards, heels and interior liners and complemented by ripstop side wall panels that are draped in baby blue. The most captivating component of these kicks is its light-up elements. The ball-and-wings logos situated on the tongues have glow-in-the-dark lights to represent finding light through the darkest times. “I only thought about what human beings live day by day, finding the light to have a better quality of life and everything starts from a healthy mind”, the artist said on IG about his fresh kicks.
