Swedish House Mafia Debuts an Uplifting Music Video for “Heaven Takes You Home"
As the group prepares to kick off its ‘Paradise Again’ tour.
Nearly a decade after their initial breakup, dance music supergroup Swedish House Mafia released its Paradise Again album in April. Spending its second week at number 1 on Dance Radio, one of the top tracks from their debut return album is “Heavy Takes You Home,” described as the emotional core of the sonically diverse collection of tracks.
Providing the vocals for the track is the English singer-songwriter, Connie Constance, and the new music video is filmed through “Connie’s Lense” as the camera explores the central role that music plays in the life of Constance and her close circle of friends. Below is a short statement from the artist touching upon the emotions and message behind the song and music video:
“It’s been the most incredible journey working with Swedish House Mafia. From creating a beautiful song that is so dear to me, to then directing the video, I cannot be grateful enough for how empowering this process has been. Everyone you will see in this video and even most of the crew has changed my life in some shape or form which feels propitious as this song is currently doing the same. I wanted to create a video for SHM that might be shown at a wedding or sadly a funeral. All the best bits, and the best people. It’s not the London eye or the River Thames that makes London. It’s the people that keep the culture so diverse and the energy so dynamic. I hope this video gives an insight to the young dreamers in the city and how together we help each other pass all limitations and take over the world…. until heaven takes you home and you’ve got the most triumphant story to tell.”
Swedish House Mafia will kick off their highly-anticipated PARADISE AGAIN TOUR at Miami’s FTX Arena on July 29 which marks their first major performance since their headline show at Coachella. As they make their way across North America and Europe, they’ll be joined by artists such as Alesso, Zhu, Grimes, Vintage Culture, and others.
