Salehe Bembury Shares First Look at His Crocs Pollex Clog "Kuwata"
The fluorescent colorway nods to Leon Kuwata from the Japanese video game franchise ‘Danganronpa.’

One of the most talked about designers in this age of footwear and streetwear fashion is Salehe Bembury. He’s captured the hearts of fans across the globe for his stunning footwear renditions and unique storytelling, and if there’s one initiative tied to his name that continues to create a considerable amount of buzz, it’s his ongoing collaborations with Crocs. The NY-bred creative is expected to launch a plethora of more Pollex Clog colorways, one of which is the “Kuwata” iteration that he has just teased.
Those who have followed along the journey of Bembury know that he’s never afraid to toy with bold and bright presentations for his footwear team-ups, and that’s exactly what he does here. The easy-on-easy-off silhouette comes molded with its overstated concaves throughout the upper to mimic his signature fingerprint pattern, most of which is dialed to a fluorescent orange hue. Toe tip molds and lockdown areas of the straps contrast with a darker shade of orange for more flair.
While it hasn’t been confirmed by Bembury himself, but it’s likely that this installment nods to Leon Kuwata from the Japanese video game franchise Danganronpa and the color is resemblant to his hair. Information surrounding its release will likely turn up in the coming months.
