Randomevent FW22 Searches for an Oasis
Encouraging a balance between self and the outside world.
Following a collaboration with Reebok earlier this year, the Randomevent team travels west from its home base in Shanghai in search of a backdrop for its Fall/Winter 2022 “Go Oasis” collection. Revolving around the relationship between the individual and their environment, the lookbook showcases a range of relaxed and cozy pieces in a serene environment.
The underlying message is one that encourages youth to face up to their true feelings in order to maintain a balance between the self and the outside world. Through the campaign and offerings, Randomevent hopes that everyone may find that “oasis” in their hearts.
Pieces in the collection are loose, comfortable, and versatile, highlighted by cloud-graphic sweaters, striped mohair cardigans, peachy half-zip turtlenecks, pixelated blouson jackets, side-split paneled trousers, vintage-style logo sweatshirts, dual-textured puffer jackets, and distressed patchwork denim jeans. The collection comes amidst the tenth anniversary of the brand, and as Randomevent founder Younker Hong takes his time to look back at the last decade of persistence and growth, he looks to the future with the same determination and desire while learning to appreciate the surrounding scenery on the road to progress.
