Our Legacy WORK SHOP Has Its "Mind on the Run"
Teaming up with MAJO TECH and Satisfy to deliver running-ready garments for all.
Our Legacy WORK SHOP has been focusing on collaborations as of late, doubling down on its Stüssy partnership with a Spring 2022 collection and the Milan Fashion Week-exclusive Slam Jam pop-up “Dream Market,” but now it is turning its hand, or should we say foot, to running with the new “Mind on the Run” capsule.
Using fabrics manufactured by MAJO TECH — one of the leaders in creating fabrics and finishing for various fashion brands — Our Legacy WORK SHOP presents a collection centered around the activity of running, blending its signature aesthetic with these newfound Italian technical fabrics.
Windproof ripstop nylon and crisp flyweight shell fabrics sourced from MAJO TECH’s archives have been used across shorts and jackets, with each putting weightlessness at the forefront of their construction methodology. As for T-shirts, the Swedish stalwarts taps its long-time collaborator, Satisfy, for the use of its proprietary and residual AuraLite technical fabric, which combines a silky texture with built-in technology that wicks away moisture and subsides odors.
Jockum Hallin, the Our Legacy co-founder and Our Legacy WORK SHOP Creative Director says, “Running makes the mind roam free, it liberates thinking, the same way that music does at times. A short lunch run, or longer morning miles, you never know what will come to you. I wanted to do pieces in boxy Our Legacy silhouettes created with all types of running in mind, but versatile enough to wear for any training. We reached out to MAJO TECH and dug into their archives for the best Italian technical lightweight outerwear fabrics. Satisfy Running helped us out with functional tees and long sleeves for the collection in their amazing AuraLite fabrics. Both jackets, shorts and tights come with multiple stash pockets for all your bits. All pieces are made from upcycled residual fabrics, and come with hi-visibility WORK SHOP reflective print.”
