A Closer Look at the Craig Green x adidas Squash Polta AKH

Following its debut during Craig Green’s Fall/Winter 2022 runway show, we now have a closer look at his adidas Squash Polta AKH that just arrived on HBX.
For the latest collaborative silhouette, Craig Green reimagines the 1988 adidas Made-in-Taiwan Squash shoes with playful “Sesame” and “Bold Green”-colored nylon material. Reflecting the British menswear designer’s signature play of illusion is the semi-translucent construction of the upper that is said to symbolize vulnerability and acceptance.
Elsewhere, the gray suede overlays and squash-inspired rubber tooling at the lower rear and around the toe box add layering effects around the signature EVA midsole. Meanwhile, the “Cream White” adidas logo heel tab and Craig Green branding on the lateral heel round out the design.
