A Dog-Inspired Nike Air Max 1 "Woman's Best Friend" Colorway Has Been Revealed
Polka dots, furry textures, metallic hangtags and more all arrive on the playful kicks.
The Air Max 1 has been going full steam all-year long as it was the highlighted for this year’s Air Max Day celebrations, seen in collaborative form with Concepts and Kasina and more. And now it’s being fashioned in a new “Woman’s Best Friend” colorway that shines a light on the loving relationship between a woman and her dog.
The kicks are playful in every sense of the word. Hairy textures emblematic of a canine have been supplied to the overlays along the mid-foot and heels as well as towards the borders of the tongues. Mudguards chime in on its wild aesthetic as well as the forefoot comes printed with red backdrops, white polka dots and retro Nike logos while the rear is styled in pink canvas and adorned with abstract patterns. To further expand upon its pet-inspired motif, Nike dresses up the insole units with grassy graphics are likely symbolic of a dog park, and shapes the ankle eyelets in a dog bone-inspired silhouette. In addition, the kicks come packaged with a Nike-branded metallic silver hangtag and a red handkerchief.
Folks that are based in Asia will be able to cop these on June 18 via SNKRS China. A stateside drop hasn’t been confirmed at this time.
