Official Images of the Air Jordan 36 "Year of the Tiger"
Tiger graphics are fittingly emblazoned on the throat.
The lifespan of the Air Jordan 36 will soon be coming to a close, but before Jordan Brand is determined to make room for as many colorways as it can before it officially launches the Air Jordan 37. One of the renditions that will be hitting retailers shortly is the Air Jordan 36 “Year of the Tiger,” and its official photos have now surfaced in our midst.
While the Chinese New Year celebrations are technically over, MJ’s sportswear brand is prolonging its homage to the annual festivities with a playful, hardwood-ready variation. The signature basketball model leans on a multi-colored gradient to be used as the focal design element here as it splashes onto the mesh side panels, ankle collars, fluid midsole molds and the thinner mid-foot overlay. Flecked laces are readied with black backgrounds and red stitchings while tiger graphics fittingly touch down on the throat in a bold yellow hue. Extra bright hits arrive by way of the bright blue interior tongue and heel tab branding as well as the Nike Air text that dress up the lower heel.
Check out a full look at the pair in the photo gallery above and expect Nike to release these in the coming weeks.
Elsewhere in sneakers, Tom Sachs’ NikeCraft “General Purpose Shoe” is slated to receive a restock in August.
