First Look at the Air Jordan 1 Low OG "UNC"
Tar Heel-inspired colors once again take center stage.
One of the most oft-used palettes that Jordan Brand will lean on is the signature colors of the University of North Carolina given that it’s where Jordan put the world on notice during his NCAA career. We’ve seen the Tar Heel-inspired color schemes appear on many different silhouettes such as the Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 6 and more, and now the Air Jordan 1 Low OG is getting its shot to do its own interpretation.
This forthcoming makeup turns to MJ’s classic “Black Toe” inspired color-blocking method as the smooth leather forefoot overlays, Swooshes and interior lining are smothered in solid black. The shoe’s “Dark Powder Blue” tone accents through various parts of the upper such as the Nike Air branding on the tongues as well as the lower heel overlays as well as the full outsoles. To balance everything out, Jordan’s design team implements white panels across the toe boxes and quarters.
Early reports have these slated to drop on July 29 for $130 USD, but Nike has yet to confirm this.
