Diesel Celebrates Pride Month With Extensive Tom of Finland Foundation Collaboration
Glenn Martens references Tom of Finland’s hyper-masculinized work across T-shirts, shirts, denim pieces, underwear and more.

In honor of Pride Month, Glenn Martens‘ Diesel has teamed up with the Tom of Finland Foundation for a comprehensive capsule collection. The collaboration goes to show that collections celebrating and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community can go beyond adding a rainbow, as there is much more within queer culture that makes for great artistic references.
Dubbed the “AllTogether” collection, the collaboration takes from artworks selected from the foundation’s catalog, bringing them to life on genderless pieces, comprising jeans, T-shirts, sweatshirts and intimates. Tom of Finland’s signature artwork, distinguished by black and white sketches of leather-clad men and other highly masculinized homoerotica, features prominently across much of the collection, adorning a white tee and a shopping tote bag for example, while a shirt dress now comes with Tom of Finland’s female characters printed onto it.
In contrast, Diesel also references more colorful artworks from the Tom of Finland Foundation, adding it to bowling shirts, shorts and a bag once more. Trompe-l’œil appears in the form of arms wrapping around the chest on a vest — nodding to a signature of Martens’ work who used the photorealistic process in both Diesel’s Fall/Winter 2022 runway show and for his work with Jean Paul Gaultier — while a range of white staples also appear, ranging from a denim jacket and jeans to socks and underwear.
Diesel’s Pride capsule collection can be seen in the gallery above and bought in-store and online now.
