In-Hand Glimpse at the adidas YEEZY 500 "Granite"
Ye and the Three Stripes cook up another ashy colorway.

A reoccurring theme that tends to pop up through the consistent stream of YEEZY releases from Kanye West and adidas is that you’ll often notice that many of the colorways will have plenty of resemblances. Models such as the prolific YEEZY BOOST 350 V2, YEEZY BOOST 700 V2 and the YEEZY 500 have all have catalogs that possess at least 2-3 iterations where telling the difference can be somewhat difficult, and the latter is about to gain another this season. Above is an early look at the forthcoming adidas YEEZY 500 “Granite” which has just surfaced via in-hand imagery.
The shoe’s nickname is perfect considering that the entire installment is drowned in various shades gray. Mesh underlays are dyed to mimic that aesthetic of the coarse igneous rock, while the buttery suede overlays are fashioned dialed to more of an ashy gray hue. Mudguards also come fitted with a darker gray skin, but arrive with a matte finish that provides some slight contrast. Sole units — which feature the traditional adiPrene cushioning system — also come dressed up in a neutral-toned way.
Early reports have these slated to drop on May 14, but adidas still has to confirm this.
In other news, images of the adidas YEEZY BOOST 700 “Hi-Res Red” have popped up.
