Thames & Hudson Will Release an Updated Book on the Legendary Blue Note Records
Available to pre-order for $46 USD.

Blue Note Records is arguably remembered just as much for its instrumental imprint on the history of Jazz, as it is in the canon of album artwork. Through stunning photography by the label co-founder, Francis Wolff, and a masterful use of typography by designer, Reid Miles, both the music and the covers are just as relevant today as they were over 70 years ago.
Thames & Hudson will release a revised edition of their popular book, Blue Note Uncompromising Expression: The Finest in Jazz Since 1939, documenting an illustrated history on the label. From boogie-woogie and swing of the 1930s, to Bebop, Hard bop, funk and fusion, to the sounds of today, the late-music journalist and author, Richard Havers, recounts an eight-decade journey of how Blue Note’s founders stayed true to its “Uncompromising Expression.”
The book is currently available to pre-order for $46 USD at Thames & Hudson and will start shipping on June 14.
In related news, Thames & Hudson will also release a book examining the ways contemporary artists are tackling climate change.
