LOEWE Paula's Ibiza SS22 Welcomes You to Jonathan Anderson's Party Island

Jonathan Anderson‘s LOEWE invites you into a hedonistic paradise for its Spring/Summer 2022 Paula’s Ibiza collection, serving garments worthy of being frolicked around in as you party on the nostalgia-laden Balearic island.
It’s a theme that’s always appeared in LOEWE’s Paula’s Ibiza collections, one which celebrates the island’s free spirit and joyous attitude that’s made it become a haven for party-goers and sun-seekers. The island itself is perfect for escapism, and this attitude has been echoed thanks to Anderson’s new SS22 offering.
Captured by one of LOEWE’s favorite photographers Gray Sorrenti, the campaign sees protagonists take over Casa Broner, the former residence and studio of German artist Edwin Broner whose mid-century modern ’60s house perfectly encapsulates the energy LOEWE is giving for SS22. Its backdrop is the perfect party pad, and Sorrenti’s images tell a story of one big night in, following the muses from the start of the party until the sun comes back up.
Speaking on the collection, Anderson says: “Hedonism has been on my mind a lot of late: fun, partying, moments spent together releasing good energies. The collection is sexy and liberated, with the carefree attitude that is quintessentially Ibiza. It gleams with the sparkle of sequins, skin peaking through short hems, lacing and cutouts. Everything is uncomplicated, cut close to the body, and easy to wear. Prints are feisty too: surfing graphics from LeRoy Grannis, cactus motifs and playful geometries.”
The collection sees relaxed summer shirts cut from luxurious silk, while crafty elements such as crocheting appear on bucket bags and other accessories. A crochet rainbow-adorned sweater vest is a particular standout, as is the yellow crochet Paula’s Ibiza-adorned sweater, while glitter, sequins, bright notes of orange, pink, red, green and more punctuate the pieces with excess and fun.
Textured jerseys make up a new Flow Runner sneaker, psychedelic sunsets are echoed in LOEWE’s Puzzle, Hammock, Amazona and Goya bags, while the Anagram now appears cut-out of canvas and leather pockets and bags. A new Eau de Toilette — LOEWE Paula’s Ibiza Eclectic — provides an olfactory embodiment of this season’s collection and undertones, bringing woody, floral and gourmand notes of orange flower absolute and night-blooming jasmine sambac alongside the fresh sweetness of Madagascan mandarin and the crisp bitterness of black pepper, while a heart of incense essential oil and frankincense and a base of coconut and vanilla underlined by rich ylang-ylang, musk, and soft Australian sandalwood soften things off.
