Smiley Celebrates Its 50th Anniversary With a Reebok Classic Leather Pump Collaboration
Uppers conceal a playful graffiti pattern underneath its tear-away leather.
The Smiley icon is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2022, and it’s aiming to celebrate this momentous occasion by linking up with Reebok to create a happy-focused sneaker collaboration. Together, both parties have generated a playful Smiley x Reebok Classic Leather Pump iteration that is designed to shine a light on the happiness that we all possess inside of us.
When you look at the kicks fresh out of the box, they may just look like a normal white Classic Leather with bold yellow Pump buttons that are adorned with Reebok and Smiley logos, but there’s more than meets the eye to these celebratory kicks. This exterior white shell can actually tear away either naturally or if you choose to scrub it off yourself and reveal playful, graffiti-inspired Smiley graphics that were made by graffiti artist, Mr. André. 50th anniversary Smiley logos are also pasted to the colorful insoles as well as in black font across the treading.
The Smiley x Reebok Classic Leather Pump 50th will be officially launching on April 15 for $250 USD via Reebok, so check out a closer look while you wait on their arrival.
